Founding a company, the beginning of a journey
The year 2015 was the starting point for the company «Mile Logistics». We started our journey by providing customs clearance services, focusing on creating a solid foundation for future growth. Attention to detail, professional approach and efficiency allowed us to gain the trust of our first customers. It was during this year that the foundation of our reputation as a reliable partner capable of solving the most difficult tasks in the field of logistics was laid.
Development of the combined cargo area
This year has become a landmark year: we have begun to actively develop the combined cargo area, offering our customers flexible and cost-effective solutions for transporting small shipments of goods. This allowed us to meet the demands of even the most demanding customers. In addition, a sales department was opened, and we launched full-fledged cargo transportation services. The expansion of the range of services has allowed the company to become a provider of integrated solutions that cover all key stages of the logistics process, from planning to delivery.
Getting started in the field of trade intermediation and multimodal transportation
2017 was a year of great changes. We have started providing trade and intermediary services, opening up new opportunities for our clients to manage transactions on international markets. This solution allowed us to help customers not only transport their goods, but also plan and carry out purchases and sales more efficiently. During the same period, the company established cooperation with the world’s leading transport operators, including marine, aviation and automotive companies. As a result, we have implemented multimodal transportation, which has given customers access to global routes and flexibility in solving logistical problems.
Launch of our own customs clearance services
A new round of development began with the opening of its own customs clearance department. This step was an important achievement, as it allowed us to further optimize processes and provide customers with operational solutions with minimal delays. Customs clearance services have become an important link in the chain of our logistics ecosystem.
Opening of an office with a customs warehouse
We have taken an important step forward by opening the company’s main office in a modern building located next to the Port of Riga. The new office was equipped with a customs warehouse that meets all modern requirements for the storage of specialized goods. In the same year, the company received a license to trade veterinary animal feed, which opened the doors to a completely new market segment.
Automation and comprehensive turnkey service
We have implemented our own logistics process management service – we have introduced a CRM system for a clear and understandable approach to doing business. By taking a step towards business automation, we improved our internal processes and were able to focus on the service. Thanks to this, our clients were able to use a full range of turnkey services, including cargo insurance. These innovations have allowed us to take on all the logistical tasks of our clients, freeing them up to focus on key aspects of their business.
Expanding geography and attracting talent
The company continued to strengthen its position, expanding its geographical presence in the Baltic States and opening new jobs. We have established cooperation with leading universities in Latvia, which has allowed us to attract young talents and create innovative solutions. We began to actively invest in personnel development, organizing training programs and open events to strengthen our team of professionals.
Recognition at the International Exhibition
At the International Transport Exhibition, «Mile Logistics» presented its achievements and plans for the future. We have demonstrated steady growth, established new business relationships and strengthened our presence in the international arena. This participation allowed the company to discover new markets and establish partnerships with leading global players.
Entering the market of transportation of medical and veterinary drugs
We have successfully completed the process of obtaining a license for the trade and storage of medical veterinary drugs. Temperature-controlled storage facilities were prepared, and all necessary permits were issued. This gave us the opportunity to offer our customers new solutions and enter another market segment.
Structural development and new directions
This year, the company has taken another important step by conducting a large-scale restructuring. We have created a well-organized system of departments, where only the best specialists in their field work. We also launched a new transportation route to the countries of South and North America, expanding the geography of services and offering new business opportunities to customers.
